La Carreta in Jamestown

Authentic ambiance, delightful taste. Salsa and guacamole were delicious. Attentive to guest needs. Great price. Portions are satisfying. They had horchata(rice milk), but, I don't think it was homemade. Still good, though. I recommend this place if you're looking for Mexican cuisine in this area.

The food was horrible. I ordered a combo platter, and well the chili relleno had taco meat just like the burrito and the enchilada on my plate. The waiter checked on us once, at the end of our meal, dropped the check off and I am feeling like Taco Bell would have been a better choice. Not coming back even if the whole meal was comped. The pic shows the chili piece in my chili relleno if that’s any clue they can’t cook.

Really great place to get as close to authentic Mexican food as possible, without being in Mexico, or having one of those cousins, brothers, mommas cook for you. The prices are fair and you get a decent amount of food. The service was fair, not overwhelming, just enough. Only issue was that the bathroom was not as clean as it could be. I give them and 8/10.

Food was mediocre at best. Server was not friendly. Some portions were small. Overall not a good experience.... and I'm not known for saying that!!!

Ordered #3 Beef Taco, Chicken Enchilada & Chili Relleno.Chicken was Dry and very Tough, taco was good. Chili Relleno was served as 1 a little piece of pepper cover in Meat and Cheese. When I told the waiter about it he brought me the whole pepper, Then told me that I need to ask for it that way, I said No you need to inform the customers about that.Here's what it looks like...One waiter does everything out front.

The best food ever! I know its attached to the side of a gas station and looks a bit shady but don't let looks fool you. Their food is SO good and the prices are even better! The staff are always friendly and I would go here every day if I could. They have a lot of choices and daily specials. Something for everyone!

I had the Fajitas Rodeo & it was amazing! I don't know why but every Mexican restaurant never gives you enough shells for your fajitas. The only thing lacking was the service. I wish they would've come by a little more. Great food!

If I’m in Jamestown and want to eat Mexican, this is the place. Fast service, great chips and salsa. I always order the Burrito Supreme.

One of the best places to eat in Jamestown. Several vegetarian options to choose from which is a big plus for me. Good price, good service equals high value for your money.

Everything we had was delicious! Chips,salsa, queso, and our entrees. Silly but even the coke was good. Husband had draft beer last one on list (unfortunately didn't catch name) which he also raved about. Alice @ frontier village recommended... and she wasn't wrong!

Best Tex Mex In North Dakota hands down

My husband loves this place. We always go when visiting friends in Jamestown. They waiters are very friendly and they try to have Horchata whenever we visit. Highly recommend it.

Chile rellenos were not authentic--tasted like hamburger mixed with salty cream of mushroom soup with a couple strips of chile added. Flan was too sweet and not eggy or creamy like a nice one--obviously from a packaged mix. Margarita was just OK. $48 for 2 people seemed pricey for marginal quality.

Fast service. Cheery atmosphere. Real Mexican food, including vegetarian options and even steak and hamburgers. Street tacos were favorable. Good value.Great family place. Also has sports bar area.

One of North Dakotas beat mexican restaurants. I have eaten here several times and never had a bad experience. Food is served hot and is full of flavor. Staff is great and always makes sure the customer enjoys their experience here. Great job

A taco in a hard shell? Didn't know I was going to taco bell. Burrito was OK, but beans and rice were salty. Salsa was out of a can/jar. If I'm back in the area, I'll try elsewhere. Only saving grace was the service, very friendly staff.

Great food and great prices

I like their food. Its the best place for Mexican in Jamestown, but there are better places in Fargo and Bismark.

Lightning fast drinks, appetizer and daiquiri. Try the pollo de cabos

Steak Fajitas are my favorite here. Plenty of food for a reasonable price. I like to call in my order ahead and stop here on my way through town.

Dont worth it at all and expencive

Nice place overall. The service was painfully slow and although the restaurant was almost empty, our food and drinks took forever.Food was plentiful, could have had some more favour in my opinion. There is no hot sauce on the tables to correct this either. Had to wave down the waiter to request some.The waiter's attitude wasn't very welcoming and unfortunately his English was difficult to understand.Nachos were good. Salsa was bland.The lettuce was fresh, veggies crisp and overall the meal was okay.Won't be returning.

Food was great SERVICE sucked. The workers sat at the bar eating, talking, watching soccer vs checking on tables.. Four servers to three table we finally got ready to leave and the server asked as we stand waiting to pay... If we paid. I said no we don't have our ticket this after I asked for the ticket a half hour before.. His reply was I must have been to into the game!

Bad service. The food was ok but the service was awful. Never got a refil. Waited over 45 mins for our check after the plates had already been cleared. Almost walked out with out paying I was so frustrated.

Good food I recommend La Carrera restaurant to anyone!!!

someone said price is good? compare then other beer price is about 3 dollars expensive then other 22 ounce. same dish then other 3 to 4 bucks more .

Their on line menu does not match their prices that they charge you in the restaurant we wound up paying $10 more for our food when we picked it up and they claimed well the prices went up and we didn't get the Internet changed and plus they charge you 50 cents pick up fee. Part of the food was good and part of it was bad they overcook their fish and chicken.

Service was terrible. Waiters were slow, and the food just sucked.

More authentic than somewhere else in town....only bad thing..i like to have a second drink before the food arrives with that said it's quick also

I love this restaurant. The staff treats us as if we were special guests. The food is phenomenal and we leave full and satisfied every time.

BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING. Extremely disappointed. We've been going here for years, but the past two times we've been there the staff has overcharged us. Our waiter who I think is the manager or owner, doesn't give you the line item total showing your food and pop cost but instead gives us a grand total which is normally a few bucks more than our total should have been even when adding sales tax. We've talked to others that have gone here lately and they've said the same thing. Their bill was higher than they expected. Not the way we like business done in Jamestown.
